History Frank R Wade Office Equipment was founded as an Underwood Typewriter dealer in Mobile, Alabama in 1936 and has operated continuously for the last 71 years. The Minolta copier product line was added in 1999. By 2003 Frank R Wade Office Equipment had grown to become one of the top 35 Minolta dealers in the United States. This was based upon total unit sales.There are approximately 350 dealers nationally. Operations we expanded in 2003 to include an office in Pensacola, Florida to serve the communities of Northwest Florida. Frank R Wade Office Equipment has also received the prestigious Minolta Honor Council Award for the last five years. This award is presented to approximately the top 15% of all Minolta dealers nationally. Additionally, the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce selected Frank R Wade Office Equipment as one of the Future 30 Fast Growth Businesses in 2000 and 2001. This award is presented to companies in recognition for their successful achievements as one of the fasted growing companies in the Mobile- Baldwin communities. We were selected as one of the 10 finalists for the Mobile Outstanding Business and Industry Award for small business by the Chamber of Commerce in 2003 and 2004.       Community Involvement Frank R Wade Office Equipment is involved in numerous local civic opportunities including: The American Red Cross, The Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, L'Arche Mobile Home for the Mentally Challenged Citizens Inc., The GMAC Mobile Bowl, University of South Alabama Athletics and the United Way are just to name a few.
